Privacy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
Too Many Markers is designed to respect your privacy. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no personal information required to use the picker.
No accounts or personal data
The public picker does not ask for your name, email, phone or any other personal details. There is no login, no profile, and no database of users.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies or advertising networks, and it does not try to identify you or follow you across other websites. It does use Google Analytics, described below, to measure how the site is used.
Google Analytics
If you allow it, this site uses Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to understand which pages are visited and how people find the site. Google Analytics can set cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. It does not load until you choose “Allow analytics”.
What it collects: pages viewed, time on page, how you arrived (referring site or campaign link), approximate location (country and city, derived from your IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not store), device type, browser, operating system, screen size and language, and interactions such as clicks on outbound links. It is not used to collect your name, email or any account details, because the site does not ask for them.
How the data is used: only to see aggregate usage and improve the tool. I do not use it for advertising. Google processes the data under its own privacy policy.
Your choice: Reject optional tracking in the banner, or change your choice any time using the button below. Rejecting keeps Google Analytics off; withdrawing consent removes its cookies from this site and reloads the page. Your choice is saved on this device. The site works without Google Analytics.
You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a content blocker.
Analytics
The site does measure how the tool is used, so I can tell whether it is genuinely useful. Separately from optional Google Analytics, there are two parts to this, and neither identifies you.
1. Built-in hosting analytics. The site is hosted on Lovable, whose built-in project analytics records aggregate visit statistics: page views, visits, visit duration, bounce rate, referring website, device category and country. It does not use advertising cookies and does not build a profile of you.
2. Anonymous first-party usage events. When you use the tool, the site records that an action happened, in its own database. The recorded actions are: a blend was generated, a palette was generated, “another blend” or “pick again” was pressed, marker codes were copied, a result was shared, a palette card was downloaded, an Amazon marker-set link was opened, a link to @craftetcoffee was opened, and a shared result link was opened.
Each event stores only: the action name, the time, a random anonymous session identifier, the marker collection used, whether the result was a blend or a palette, the blend or harmony type, the palette size, which marker set an affiliate link pointed to, the page path, any campaign values described below, and whether the generation came from a repeat press. For blends, the event also records the anchor marker code used to start the generation, the final family sequence (for example “Yellow > Orange > Pink”) and the broad hue zone of the result. These three values describe the marker product and colour only — they contain no personal information about you. The full set of individual marker codes shown in a result is not stored.
When a blend or palette is generated, the site also records which marker-set combination was selected at the time (for example the 120 set on its own, or the 120 set plus the pastel set), how many sets that was, and how many measured colours were available. This is product-selection information about Ohuhu marker sets — it is not personal identity data and it tells me nothing about who you are.
Anonymous session identifier
The session identifier is a random string generated in your browser and kept in sessionStorage. It is not a cookie, it contains nothing about you, and it disappears when you close the tab or browser. It exists only so several actions in one visit can be counted as one visit. It is never linked to an account, an email, a device fingerprint, an advertising identifier, or to you on any other site or device.
Campaign links
When I share a link on Instagram or elsewhere it may carry campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content). Only those four values are read, and only the first ones seen in a session are kept, so I can tell which post brought people here. No other URL parameters are collected.
What is never collected
No name, email address, phone number, account, precise location, IP address stored in the site’s own database, full browser user-agent string, device fingerprint, advertising identifier, Instagram identity, Amazon purchase information, clipboard contents or details of the colouring pages you work on.
How long data is kept
Anonymous usage events are deleted automatically after 180 days. Hosting analytics is retained by the hosting provider under its own policy. Nothing stored here can be traced back to an individual visitor, so there is nothing personal to request or delete.
Clearing what your browser stores
Closing the tab or browser ends the session and removes the anonymous session identifier and any stored campaign values. You can also clear site data for this site in your browser settings at any time, which removes everything the site keeps locally.
Affiliate links
Some links to the Ohuhu marker sets are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
When you open one of those links, Amazon receives the request and the affiliate tag, and may set its own cookies on its own website. That is governed by Amazon’s privacy policy, not this one. This site only records that an Amazon link for a given marker set was opened — never what you looked at or bought.
Links to other sites
The footer links to my social profiles on Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Etsy and Linktree. Those platforms have their own privacy policies and are not covered here.
Shared links
When you share a blend or palette, the link contains only the marker codes needed to show the same result. It does not contain any personal information about you.

An independent tool
Too Many Markers is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ohuhu, Amazon or Instagram. Some links to Ohuhu and Amazon products are affiliate links, so I may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. This does not change which colours or sets the tool shows you.
